There is limited...
There is limited free parking down the street from the club. Parking spaces in front of the club are coned off. Even though there is a security car half way down the street it still feels creepy walking to the club. There are tents covering the entrance area. You are first frisked by security. Then you go to the window to buy a ticket. Before 10 PM the ticket is $12. After it's $22. Next you walk over to the door and hand security your ticket.
The overall lighting inside is too dim. In the middle of the club, there is a large main rectangular stage with one tall pole in the center. The pole appears to be segmented half way up and it wobbles. I am not fan of tall poles because of the inherent danger. Also the dancers cannot clean the upper portion of the pole in between sets. The wobbling pole takes away from the pole tricks even if they are executed perfectly. It seems like a stage of its size should have at least two poles. The stage is also a bit high. I found it to be uncomfortable looking up at the stage while seated. On both sides and the front of the stage there are wooden chairs and metal tables. The tables are not smooth. They look like fire truck steps and are uncomfortable to rest your arms on. Also there is no space between the stage and the tables and chairs. If you are sitting in the front row you may feel a lot of pressure to tip. Outside of the seating area are large walkways. I felt uncomfortable having so much traffic behind me while seated. Also dancers end up approaching you from behind. In the front of the club there is a large snack bar and ATM. On the left wall of the club is VIP 1 which consist of a row of elevated velvet benches with a metal rail in front of them. Next to VIP 1 is the DJ booth. On the right wall of the club are the bathrooms follow by a dressing room. The bathroom is very inadequate. It is the size of a single user bathroom but they squeeze 3 people in there by having 2 urinals, a toilet stall, and 1 crooked wobbly sink. The toilet stall is just big enough to accommodate the toilet alone. I would hate to be a employee working 8 to 10 hour shifts and not have decent place to get some privacy and relieve yourself. There are also a row of wooden chairs along the wall of the dressing room. Next is another VIP 1 area. Behind the main stage are the stage steps and some open space but not exactly walkway. Behind the rear wall is another dressing room and VIP 3. VIP 3 is a private room. I haven't been in VIP 3 so I can't describe it. In front of the rear wall is a T shaped stage with 2 poles. The stage is surrounded by 3 leather sofas. The gaps in between the sofas are roped off. This area comprises VIP 2. On the right of VIP 2 are a few rows of wooden chairs.
As far as the dancer quality goes, I would say that is about the same as any other DMV club because many DMV dancers rotate among several clubs. Now Fuego is one of the few PG clubs that feature a large number of latin dancers. The host is also bilingual. Fuego is a large club when compared to other DMV clubs but it wasn't as large as I expected from hearsay. They use the space to shove a lot dancers in there. I believe that they have up to 100 dancers some nights. The problem is that selecting dancers can be tough. Many of the dancers never go on stage. I would estimate about 30% go on stage. As I mentioned before the club is quite dark and you cannot recognize people 20 feet away. The floor dances are $10 a song and they are terrible. It can be very painful supporting someone else's weight while slouching in a hard wooden chair. If you get a dance while sitting in the wooden chairs on the right wall in front of the dressing room, there are literally people walking by bumping into the dancer. I prefer dances be in a dance only section because when you have idle people sitting beside you they stare. If someone sitting behind you is getting a dance, often the dancer will grab your chair without your permission to leverage herself. Your only hope of getting a deceit dance is to go to VIP 1. Both you and the dancer need a $10 wristband to sit in VIP. I believe the same wristband allows entrance to all 3 VIP sections. Since the dancer needs a wristband too, it makes it difficult to tryout several dancers. The dances in VIP 1 are $15 dollars a song. In VIP 1 there are still idle people sitting beside you staring because its not a dance only section. Also there is very little space between the VIP 1 benches and the walkway. Often other dancers will lean on the VIP 1 rails and converse with your dancer during your dance. The VIP gatekeeper walks around the club and interrupts people to check their wristband. If you don't have a wristband he will sell you one on the spot even in the middle of your dance. I believe that dances in VIP 2 are $20 a song but you still don't get any privacy because there is a stage in the section attracting attention to the area. By VIP 2 being roped off, people wind up throwing tips over your head at the dancers on stage. Your only hope of getting some privacy is to got to VIP 3 for $30 a song.
Fuego does not have an internet presence. You pretty much have to go by word of mouth to find out the club policies. They have flyers inside advertising club events. The problem with flyers is that you have to come to the club to get the flyer. If I come to the club on Wednesday and get a flyer for a Friday event I'm not going to come back on Friday for the event. Some clubs do not have dancers on schedule. The dancers show up randomly just like customers. This makes it not possible to post schedules online. But it would help to post previous sign in sheets so customers can have a idea if a dancer is still working at the club instead of expecting to see a dancer that never shows up.
I just couldn't get comfortable at Fuego. Fuego feels like a regular club with strippers rather than a strip club. They nickel and dime you in there. The dances are more expensive but are of no higher quality that cheaper clubs.
