My first visit to Platinum Plus...

My first visit to Platinum Plus - and I'd say it was kind of a mixed bag.

The club is easy to find, it's in a strip mall (well-lit parking lot) but it still must be weird to show up at a place like this in broad daylight around people shopping at regular stores. Not an issue for me, arriving around 9:30. Once I paid my cover (I believe it was $8 - and you get change in $2 bills - ugh) I opened the door and was greeted by a haze of smoke. Every other person was smoking, and nearly every seat had an ashtray.

I got a water at the bar (I think it was about $4). At least you can get $1 for change at the bar instead of the irritating $2 bills. I moseyed around the room taking in the scene. There is a fairly large main stage with chairs surrounding it, then many small tables further back, with two chairs at each of those. The place is pretty nice inside (other than the smoke, which is a huge issue for me from a significant other perspective) and the bathroom was clean. There was an attendant in there, but I didn't want to sacrifice a boobie tip for a tip to the dude handing me a towel (sorry buddy).
