I went to the HiLiter Saturday afternoon after the first time in a while. Some things haven't changed - dances along the wall are still overpriced at $15, and other things have changed.

Among the things that have changed are the dancers working there. I saw quite a few new dancers there, and didn't see some of the ones who usually work the Saturday afternoon shift. Change isn't necessarily a bad thing, but when it comes to topless clubs, it makes sense to be selective with new dancers. There is no other way to put this, but it was quite obvious that some of the newer dancers aren't familiar with the level of service that makes the HiLiter a Phoenix institution.

Take my advice when you see a new girl - regardless of how hot she is, watch her dance for other customers first. If she only manages to get a dance or two before moving on to the next customer, wave her by when she approaches you. If customers either keep her for a while, or take her to VIP and then leave after several VIP dances, you have a winner.
