So I've been back a couple times since my initial visit a couple months back and, based on this last visit, I have to say that this place is looking like one of the better Manhattan stops if, like me, you 1) don't like high-end, high hustle clubs and 2) don't want to spend a lot of money. The place is small--which is not a minus to me unless it is overcrowded, which this place has not been on my visits--but clean, contemporary look. It seems to me that they really go out of their way to make customers feel at home and that starts with the bouncer at the door and the ticket taker/coat check girl; really a genuinely welcoming vibe. The cover of $20 can be avoided if you sign up for their mailing list, which I did. So now I won't have to pay a cover, a major perk! The main room has one centrally located stage and a number of comfortable upholstered chairs and couches etc, as well as a small bar you can sit at. Various sporting events where on the plentiful tv screens around the club.

The dancers in general are above average in looks but not many 9's or 10's...black, white, Hispanic, which is good if you like variety, which I do. So like most clubs it comes down to whether you connect with one or two great dancers. I had got one on my first visit. The second visit I came looking for that same dancer but when approached by a friendly, somewhat full-figured Trinidadian dancer, she told me that dancer wasn't in yet. We proceeded to have a great, fun conversation for about a half hour. She never pushed for a dance. This visit, I ran into my favorite dancer in the entry way on the way in. Tall, slender, black and pretty....she joined me at the bar for awhile and we had nice, no pressure conversation. My time was running short and so I suggested some dances....I was short on cash and they have no ATM's but you can get their "funny money" with a credit card, for a couple dollars commission. Only catch is there is a $60 minimum, which at $20 per dance is good for three dances. We moved over to one of the corner couches and she preceded to give me a very satisfying set of dances with decent two-way contact. Even though the dances are out in the open, I haven't seen any close monitoring. I had to leave after three but would have gladly stayed for more. The manager, shook my hand with a smile on the way out and said to come back soon. Really some of the best customer service I've experienced in a NYC club. Especially now that I don't have to pay a cover, I will make this a regular stop.
