Made a trip to the Foxxy...

Made a trip to the Foxxy Lady on a Saturday night. I went to see a specific dancer that told me she was going to be working there on this night. The Foxxy has really turned itself around with the physical condition of the club and good parking. For years many locals would not go to it as they felt it was unsafe there. It is located on a rough Miami street and there is a lot to overcome to get a customers feeling comfortable there. For a while there the club was booming after their renovations. On this night, I was dreading going because I figured a Saturday night in Miami the club would be packed. I was shocked when I arrived to find the parking lot less than full. Cover was $15 and parking always free which was fine for Miami and the outside door help - very nice as always. When I walked in the club I could not believe there were no more than 20 customers. It was shame because there were definitely some nice looking dancers - mostly in the 7 range but sexy and seemingly friendly. I sat with the girl I came to see and tipped just about every dancer - again surprised to find that for the most part I was the only customer tipping. I found the facility clean and wait staff nice and accommodating. Not sure what is going on with this club but somehow they lost their appeal - no way it should be that dead on a Saturday night. The only negative I could see is they were obsessed in blowing the smoke affect in the crowd. It made it hard to see five feet in front of you at times. I experienced this same annoyance at the Secrets about three weeks ago. Not sure what the obsession is with this smoke affect but even the dancers were complaining about it. I had a good time at this club - just seems a shame to have such a turn down in business. It almost makes you feel uncomfortable being one of the lone customers there. I hope they find a way to get back on track - perhaps some marketing not sure but for me a fun club to go to. I'll give it another try soon.
