I was in Winston on business, had never visited any clubs there, and decided to check out at least one. Based on TUSCL reviews I decided to check out Filly's. I arrived just after 8:00 on Friday, September 23rd. There was an $8 dollar cover; non-alcholic drinks were a very reasonable $2. As others have discussed, the stage layout is a little funky; it's y-shaped. The place was a little crowded when I arrived, but actually thinned out a little later in the evening. When crowded, you'll have to sit quite close to your fellow PLs, but, on the bright side, this can give you a good preview of table dances. I'm estimating there were about 12 dancers working, most in the 6-8 range, with maybe a couple of 4-5s.

I did quite a bit of stage tipping but was not approached for a dance all night. When I tipped her, Hollywood said she would come sit with me, but never showed. Once a woman asked if I wanted company, but that only happened after I'd already connected with someone. Having gotten over my shyness in clubs a while back, I asked a dancer to come sit with me as I tipped her at the stage. Star is a petite brunette, about 5'8" in her dancer shoes. She has the most killer deep blue eyes I've ever seen and is very sweet. I'm guessing she's in her mid 20's. It was one of those rare occasions for me when you just connect with a dancer right off the bat. I asked her about the VIP policy and she explained that there was $5 dance room fee (they give you a paper bracelet) and that dances were $20 each. The VIP room is relatively small with 6 very comfortable couches. On our second rounnd of dances, we had to wait a few minutes for a couch to become available. Star gave very sensual dances with plenty of contact on her part. I followed a strict hands-off policy based entirely on the vibe I was getting from her; she never quoted me any rules. I noted that there was only very minor touching on the legs and hips by other PLs getting dances. One PL was called down by a bouncer during the time I was there, stating "Please keep your hands off the lady." When there are empty couches available, management is cool with just sitting and talking with your dancer in that area, which is so much nicer than the main club area.

I had a wonderful time with Star that night; she absolutely made my week. So, my rating of this club is probably shaded a little high because of that.
