When I planned a business trip...

When I planned a business trip down to South Beach I was super excited. I had heard the rumors about how great the strip clubs were down there. While this may be true for Miami (I never actually made it over that way) the same cannot be said for South Beach. First, Madonnas is like the only strip club around. I guess it's because of this that they stick it to your wallet. The girls standing outside were pretty attractive, yet pretty pushy trying to drum up business. I should have seen this as a sign of things to come. As I walked in, they hit me with a $20 cover charge. As I don't think I actually made it to my seat before the girls started hounding me for a dance. I don't think I saw a single "local" girl working there. Most were Latino or Russian. I enjoyed a few sips of my coke and surveyed the room. Against my better judgement, one of the girls talked me into a dance. She said the dances were only $20 and I said okay. After I agreed, she then told me that we needed to go upstairs and that would be more money. I felt my wallet quickly shrinking but had high hopes of something else growing. She assured me all the rumors about Miami being more "hands on" were true. Once we got upstairs, she rushed me to the couch as the next song was about to start. She was a pretty good dancer but made sure I kept my hands to myself. Everything about this club felt like a rip off. Next time, I'll take a cab ride to downtown Miami.
