Spyce probably has one of the best locations in downtown being situated near many popular bars/nightclubs. A promo man gave me a VIP card on the street and got in for $1. As you enter, you will notice they are pretty heavy on security. The security also is quite active as I recall being thrown out of the there for illicit activities a few years ago. Drinks are on the expensive side for Portland with prices closer to $10 than $5 for run of the mill beverages. They pack quite a lot of action into the small space with the main stage included in the main room with a side pole and bar. There is also another smaller stage on the ground floor near the stairs as well as a third stage on the second floor. Quality has gone down in the girls over the last few years with not many 20-something models left, but diversity is good with blonde, brunette, Latina, black and Asian all represented. The girls are pretty relaxed and will chew the fat with you for quite a while rather than pushing for the 3 for $100 mmediately. All in all I did not get any dances this time, but engaged in some decent stage shows, intriguing conversations and was not thrown out. Also try to avoid the multitude of sloppy early 20's guys and bachelorette parties.
