As I'm from Sydney, I always, always, always try to visit a club when I'm in Melbourne on business. Even on this trip which was only one lousy night, I managed to squeeze a trip into my schedule (it's actually a priority to me!). It's a priority because the laws in Victoria are much kinder to the punters and I usually find that not only do I have a finer experience, it usually doesn't cost a bomb as it does in most NSW clubs.

So, after an extremely boring business dinner, I ventured down to Men's Gallery. I'd been to the Sydney establishment of the same name and looked forward to sampling the Melbourne version. The club's perfectly acceptable, cover charge was more than reasonable (can't remember what it was but remember, I'm from Sydney) and the drink prices were in accordance with what is acceptable in a Melbourne club. All in all, it looked to be a good night out. More importantly, a few of the girls were what I would consider 9s.

After a few drinks, a hot brunette approached me and I was soon experiencing a lap dance, 'Men's Gallery' style. Sadly, it was , while not entirely pathetic, nowhere near the top end of the scale. Sadly, there was no client to dancer touching (major letdown) - an aspect I had previously enjoyed at Kittens, across town. I asked her about touching during the dance and mentioned that I had experienced it at another club. She knew exactly what 'club' I was talking about and promptly told me half a dozen reasons why she wouldn't work there, with touching coming in at number one )It seems our priorities were at odds!). There was a bit of her touching me but mostly warm air and not nearly enough for me to want to continue. Ever been more aware of the time than the dance? It's sad bit that was my position. Soon afterwards, sampled the delights of another dancer (Holly?) who was much better but still not what I expect when I'm down south. Perhaps I've been spoilt and now I expect too much?
