The Cabaret Club is as loose...
The Cabaret Club is as loose as it gets in El Paso. If you don’t want a dancer touching your stuff, you probably shouldn’t go here. Having said that, it is kind of a dive and the dancers are middle of the pack at best.
The cover was $10 the night I went. Some have indicated it may change from day to day, or from time of day to time of day. It is a bring your own booze (BYOB). There is a guy at the door who will get you alcohol from a nearby liquor store if you don’t bring your own. He expects to be tipped, $10 got me a six pack and covered the tip. There is a bar inside serving soft drinks, and you can get ice for your beer, again for a tip. If you have your own booze, that will make you popular with the dancers.
Like I said, it is a dive and they keep it dark in hopes you won’t notice. It doesn’t work, but it doesn’t matter. Don’t make any decisions here until you have let your eyes adjust. The dancers are mainly Hispanic with a few African-Americans and one or two Texas blondes and brunettes thrown in from time to time. All range from a bit to a lot overweight and most are older than one would want in a strip club.. But I would say that most are suitable for dances. The Hispanics don’t usually speak much English, but enough to get their point across.
