I was visiting the West Coast...
I was visiting the West Coast for a few days and wanted to see if the LA strip club scene was as sanitized as the New York one. I wanted to avoid the big name clubs since I figured they would be as bad as the ones back home. Sam's piqued my interest with its low cover ($5) and more around-the-way feel. As I drove up to the place, the parking lot seemed fairly packed for a Tuesday night which was a good sign as far as dancer selection might go I figured.
After deciphering the parking signs nearby which are as convoluted as anything in NYC, I parked a couple of blocks down from the spot to avoid paying any parking fee. The neighborhood isn't bad per se, just industrial and vacant. Keep your eyes open and don't go waltzing down the street, iPhone glued to your ear and you should be alright.
A quick pat down later and I entered the club. The first thing I noticed is that as other reviewers have pointed out, this is a heavily latina club that seems to cater to the latino demographic ($3 Tecate!). This isn't bad by any means. Seems like a real working-class, blue-collar crowd. The women ranged from 6-8 if you like latinas. Lots of thick asses, full-lips and raven dark hair down to the waist. Most of the maybe dozen or so dancers were on the medium-sized stage area. A few were in the slightly elevated front section giving lapdances to a few patrons.
