I was driving through Akron again...

I was driving through Akron again and wanted to continue my tour of the local legends. Next up was Bottoms Up. I walked in the door on a Tuesday afternoon, took care of the preliminaries, and immediately one of the two dancers on duty asked me if I wanted a dance. I should set this up better – there were only four signs of life in the club – me, the bartender, and two dancers. Anyway, so one stops by immediately and asks me if I want a dance. Since I’d been in the club for two minutes, I asked for a minute to sort of settle in. She said OK and walked away. I barely had a chance to ask her name, and she did not break stride as she called back something that I did not hear. She went to the back, and came out with a towel wrapped around her lower half as if she had just stepped out of a shower. The second dancer who was lurking near the back stepped outside, and I never saw her again. For the rest of my time there, the bartender and towel-wrapped dancer sat at the far end of the bar on their phones and never even looked in my direction.

Both dancers were not unattractive. I would say 7’s, and I would happily have gotten at least one or two bar dances from each to see what was going on. But with that type of treatment of the only customer in sight, I was quite happy to cut my losses at the $10 entrance fee and not spend another penny there. Assuming that service is a part of the dancer quality rating (since there is not a separate category for service), I reduced my score considerably over what I would have rated that category based solely upon looks.

Leaving was a brilliant move on my part, as I took the tour back on the road and stopped by Glory Daze and had my faith in strip clubs completely renewed. I already posted that review because I wanted to help out a new club and give credit where it was due.
