Phew! What a terrible experience...

Phew! What a terrible experience I had here, not once but twice. Boy, there is nothing like sitting around for an hour being totally ignored and then having one of the most unattractive women in the world come and make her home at your table. A simple, "want a dance?" and a no and a move on would have sufficed. Instead "star" made it her business to sit down and not move for the rest of the evening. A woman who made my mother look by comparison (and my mom you don't want to see...), blew through an hour of the most mindless chatter, which was, believe me, a monologue. The only break I got from this, if you can call it that, was when the waitress came by and said "Do you want to buy the lady a drink". Apparently they have a quota of 5. Staring into space and ignoring her had no impact, and of course her presence prevented anyone half way decent from coming near. Finally, when I reached the five drink limit, she was gone. And needless to say, so was I.
