I was hired here back in...
I was hired here back in 2011, when I was chubbier, but never went in for my shhift. I had initially eliminated this place as one of the many "gilded mausoleums" along with "Crackside" in Colmar and Gold Club in Wilmington. Tonight when I went in for another audition I remembered why I never went back. The place was DEAD. There was a grand total of 5 patrons present. A bouncer checks your ID's up front and then there is a small runway type stage with seating for patrons who wish to tip. (I hope)
Dancers were all very attractive and in shape. There were various races present but body types were relatively homogeneous, thank the Gods. Everyone had a full set of teeth and was well under 200 llbs. Dancers do a 3 song set, with everything coming off by the end of the 3rd song. My companion and I did a 2 song audition set. I was told music had to be mainstream "poppy" stuff. To my consternation, my all time favorite band Pantera is considered "poppy" and "mainstream" but Slipknot is too "hard". Strike 1. Patrons did tip fairly well and while there was some verbal innuendo nobody was physically disrespectful.
House fees are $40. They did not clarify if this was lowered to compensate for dead nights or raised for the (presumably) busier weekends. If the situation was anything like tonight, I feel bad for these dancers.
