This was my first time trying out a club in Austin, but I had always heard good things and figured there'd be a good mix of dancers and that the rules would be more liberal in Austin. I was right on several marks -- girls here range from American Caucasian, Latina, black, and Asian and you have your choice of so many. They're all pretty friendly and aren't too pushy for you to get a dance, but they aren't going to sit with you for hours and hours on end as they too have to make a living. Dances had pretty good contact and drinks were priced reasonably. Be prepared to spend some dough, though, as I had had a great time and continued to buy dance after dance and drink after drink. The clientele is all right; you have your fair share of locals who stand around and watch so if you're ready to spend and can afford it you'll stick out.
