I've tried out Cleveland clubs before and found them not all that exciting and had an opportunity recently to check out The Brass Pole, which is about 30 minutes outside of Cleveland. It's worth the trip.

When I arrived there were three customers and four dancers, all at the bar; when I left an hour later both numbers had doubled. I bought a beer ($3 before 8pm) and pulled up a chair at a table near the unoccupied stage, and within a few minutes a cute dancer named Alexa started dancing. I talked with her and said she didn't have to dance just because I was there, and she said she'd come join me at my table. We had a good conversation, including the low-down on the dance options: $20 for a lap behind a screen, which provides some privacy, and then the VIP rooms at $50 for 15 minutes plus dancer's tip -- $200 and up for Alexa and perhaps different prices for other dancers.

I opted for a $20 lap, and it was quite good. She was very sensual, and she used lots of parts of her body quite well. The song length was decent.
