I had to stop by a client south of O'Hare. When I was finished at 3pm, I saw Carl's heading north on Mannheim and decided to stop in for some beer and boobies. The club is located on the south end of a strip mall. The inside was very dark. There was no cover to enter. Miller bottles are $1 on Thursdays. Since I am a Budweiser guy, I ended up paying $3 for a bottle of said product. The south side of the main room is a long bar with twenty bar chairs. The thing that struck me as odd about this club was that there are no stages and no poles. There is no entertainment or presentation of the dancers. You can get private dances from the "dancers" who circulate the main room, but other than talking to them, there is no preview of what you will get. It is trial and error with your mula, I guess, to find who gives a good dance and who does not. The entire main room is mostly bar tables and bar chairs. Music is played on a Touchtunes jukebox, and it is okay for customers to pick music.
There were seven dancers working at 3pm, and I had no interest in any of them. There was a mix of ethnicities, but what all of them had in common was: they were all over the age of 34 it looked like, and they were all carrying extra pounds. Usually, when I go to a new club I'll TOFTT to see how the private dances work, but not at this club. None of the dancers were even average. Maybe better looking "dancers" come in later in the evening. Private dances seemed to take place on the high chairs in an area in the back of the room, open to everyone's viewing.
I do not think I will return to Carl's Lounge. One thing I really enjoy about strip clubs are sexy dancers dancing on a stage or pole, which this club does not offer.
