So based on a recommendation of a bartender who works at this establishment as well as another in the general area, I decided to hit up Wet in Belleville. Upon arrival we realized parking is not on premises but rather across a fairly busy intersection which holds approx. 20-26 cars. Under normal circumstances, this wouldn't be an issue but I could imagine coming out of that place fairly inebriated, and causing a stir (Belleville has a reputation for having non nonsense police). As you approach the club it seems rather small, almost pubish, however upon entry you soon discover that it is rather on the large compared to places such as Clancy's, Palace, etc. Bartenders from an aesthetic standpoint run the gamut from around the way / girl next door cutie, to meh, however all are really cool, and help with promoting a fun vibe. The drink prices are a bit on a higher side (mixed drinks and shots were around $10 per and fairly weak so your night can get expensive relatively quickly if you don't watch it) however bottle specials for cheaper champagne is affordable (noted on the price list bottles were as low as $60). The girls here are average, with the 1-2 on the upper and lower ends of the scale (some are very talented pole stars and some are there with some pretty undies and could benefit from structured meal plan and a trainer, but the majority line up between those two goal posts). The tip parade is pretty consistent, but they won't generally hound you if you don't choose to donate to their individual cause. I didn't get a private dance, but the area has no seclusion, albeit it looks fairly well kept, so I can't comment on the value provided. I feel like Wet is trying to maintain the image of a local strip club while trying to transition to the new era baller strip club spots like Lust, Palace, Perfections, Startlet's, however they are not doing a very good job of it. The talent /eye candy doesn't justify the higher price points they charge here with respect to the local competition.
