This is the second club I happened to notice while taking an Uber ride from JFK into Manhattan. The club is just off the Queensboro bridge and easily recognized at night by its blue (or is it Sapphire?) neon lights?

I expected quite a plush club and was thinking I might not get in at all if they had a dress code. Since there was some light rain that night I was wearing a fairly decent rain coat but had on jeans, sneakers and a t-shirt underneath. Turned out to be good enough: I paid the $30 cover and $3 for mandatory coat check and was in. Once inside I noticed some customers were wearing suits, but most people were more casually dressed. Mostly groups of guys and girls in their late 20s to early 30s having some fun on a Saturday night.

I had managed to arrive just at the tail end of happy hour. The first drink I ordered, however, a Long Island, turned out to be on the exception list so I was charged the regular $20 for it. When a dancer sat down with me she told me I could order other drinks for only $5 in the time remaining.
