Decided to stray from my usual hangout, RI Dolls in Woonsocket, to revisit some Providence clubs and see what's new (or, preferably, "old" again-- before the city crackdown back in November). I ran into a (guy) friend who was sitting at the bar at my first stop at Desire. That's always awkward for me. As weird as it sounds, I like hitting the clubs by myself. Come to find out my friend tells me he is a regular here.

One of his favorite girls sits on the other side of him. She's smokin' hot. Mind you, this place has the reputation of being a regular's club and I got an up close look at it. Obviously, my friend introduces me to the girl, but after that, despite just having my friend sitting between us, she never even acknowledged my presence for almost an hour. My friend told me, before she sat down with us, that he hardly ever gets dances. He just goes there to drink and chill. I, on the other hand, had a pocket full of money and was ready for a good time. Yet she spent the whole hour talking to him about the problems she was having with an ex-boyfriend.

Eventually, my friend has to leave and she slides on over to me. Had it been an hour before, I would have definitely done a 15-minute session with her. As it was, I was still curious and opted for a regular lapdance ($25) with her while making it known that I may be open for more. Let me tell you, regular lapdances are a waste of time here. I've now had a handful of regular lapdances here and all of them have been lackluster. If you're not interested in the 15-minute VIP rooms, it seems the girls just aren't interested. I had a misguided feeling, being a trusted friend of someone she knows plus leaving the option open for a longer session, that she would have been more "eager" to please. She wasn't.
