I arrived at Follies on Sunday...

I arrived at Follies on Sunday before the valet had set up for the day, so I was able to park my car myself. I selected a spot to the left of the building, and backed in for ease of exiting. On days when they have put out their little VALET ONLY signs before I arrive, I usually park next door at Pep Boys. I wouldn't mind so much paying the $5, but I don't care for the times when I've had to wait 5-10 minutes to turn over my car to the overworked valet, and I like it even less when it comes time to leave, and there's even a longer wait to get my car back. I value ease of exiting.

Parking at Pep Boys can have its drawbacks, too. There's a little hill you have to climb to the club, which gets washed out and muddy at times. I haven't fallen yet, but it could get messy, if that kind of thing concerns you.

I paid the cover charge and found a high top seat along the wall near the DJ. After getting a drink to mark my table, I got up and made my way to the restroom on the other side of the club.
