When it comes to bang for your buck, Gatsby's North is high on my list. On the west side of Akton, the club is located next to a vacant mall. The whole area has seen better times and is now sliding into disuse and disrepair. But Gatsby's is worth the trip.

I was in town for a few days, and after reviewing TUSCL, chose Gatsby's. I was not charged a cover when I walked in. A dark, 1960's type building, a large bar dominates the center of the large open room. There were two stages, one at each end opposite the bar, but I never saw anyone dancing on them. I sat at the bar and order a drink, then began to watch. There were about ten guys in the club (not bad for a Wednesday night) and only five girls working at the time.

Gatsby's seems to have a different take on dances than most places I have been. A table-bikini dance was just $5 per song. The girls would go up and ask a guy if he wanted one. At just $5, most men said "Sure". While the dancer does not get topless, this is actually a far better deal than most places. Physical contact is pretty high, and the girls really try to get you to want more. I had been sitting for a while. A couple of girls came up to me, but they were either not my type (too many tats) or to soon after I arrived (I like to chill for a bit first).
