This was my fourth visit to SSJ’s this year, and though the place has its drawbacks, there are things that keep me coming back. For one thing, it’s one of the only (or maybe *the* only) nude club in the area. They don’t serve alcohol, but you can bring your own. The parking is free, easy, safe and well-lighted. And the management is really cool – very relaxed and friendly.

The cover charge is variable. A couple of times (and last Saturday was one of them), I arrived at 8:45 and the doorman told me that he only had two dancers right then, but more were on the way, and if I wanted to stay, it would be only $10 instead of $20. I was planning to stay a while, so that was fine with me. I ordered a bottle of water, which the doorman (yes, he was the bartender, too) gave me at no charge. (On another visit, I bought a bottle of water AND a coke for a dancer for a total of $3.00. Not exactly Las Vegas prices!)

This place is not posh or glitzy – which is fine with me, because I don’t visit strip clubs for the decor. The men’s room is kind of crappy, but it’s OK (and there’s no attendant to tip). The tables and chairs have seen better days, but they’re fine. Did I say the dancers were completely nude? THAT’s why I come here. They’re also really friendly.
