I've been to this club before, in its many variations through the years, when it was Pop A Top, then Landing Strip. Now its the Play Pen. It's close to one of the golf courses I used to play at and that's how I found this place originally.

What hasn't change: basic lay out, they did a significant remodel but didn't change the basic lay out of the club. Walk in from the discreet parking lot (one of the best features of this club) through the discreet entrance that faces in to the parking lot instead of the public street. Very dark during the day and it takes a minute to get my old eyes to adjust. The men's bathroom is immediately to the left of the entrance, thank God they finally put a door on that thing and they put dividers up between the toilet and the urinals. Big plus.

The bar is straight in front of you as you enter and then it wraps around to the right. Follow the bar and you end up in the main club, if you go left instead you end up in the video poker/VIP room area next to the kitchen. The took out the pool table and some other things they had in that area and put in 3 (I thinks it was 3) VIP booths with curtains, cost is high and I did not partake. I think it was $100 for 3 song or $250 for half an hour. Too expensive for a small Portland club.

The main stage area is mostly unchanged but nicely spruced up. They replaced the surface of the main stage's "rails", or from our point of view, the table with granite. Same shit as in my kitchen counters. Will see what happens if someone hits their head on that....

They replaced the previous Shower show area with lap dance booths. Curtained off but communal, there are like 4 love seats in there.
