I recently went to Showcase Theater...

I recently went to Showcase Theater on a Wednesday night, and stayed for almost 2 and a half hours, arriving at around 9:30 pm and leaving a little before midnight. I do not believe that my experience this time was typical of this establishment, however, I do feel that it is a good forewarning to people that might wish to go during the week expecting something spectacular. So, here goes - as I mentioned, unfortunately, I did not have the same experience as I did the first time I went to this club. It started from the moment I entered the club when the cashier made me feel like crap for asking about the $10 before 10 pm discount (otherwise the cover is $20). It was clearly advertised on their Facebook page, but he still told me that although they are not doing that anymore, he'll let me in for $10. I checked their Facebook page afterwards to make sure that I was correct, and I was - it was indeed clearly advertised. When I went inside, there were only 3 or 4 girls there, mostly 4s and 5s. There was one girl that was probably between a 6 or 7, however, she was on stage dancing for a majority of my time at the club. That's right - this girl was made to dance continuously for about an hour and 15 minutes! Who makes their dancers do that? I understand that the other girls were talking to other club patrons, but there should be some stage dance turnover. Also, most of the other girls were only talking to the other patrons - not providing lap dance services. They could have easily gotten up, danced, and reconvened with their clients. Anyway, this continuous one girl dance resulted in a lack of variety, and rightfully so, the girl dancing was exhausted. She did not feel like putting that much into the dance, and it was evident. After getting off stage, she approached me - sweaty as hell - and told me that she can't believe they made her dance for so long, and started complaining about her coworkers. It seems that some dancers that were supposed to come in did not come on time. This complaining really dulled my club experience even more. I felt bad for her and tipped her about $25 for her extended stage dance. She told me to please not judge the club by this one night, and to please return as this is not the typical scene. I told her I may come back at a later date, when there were more girls working, gave her a hug, and left. It now seems clear to me why the guy at the front desk was hesitant on offering the discounted cover - they probably needed all the money they can get to pay their dancers, as they have not been getting an adequate amount of patrons coming to the club. Again, this was only my 2nd time at this club, so I'm not going to write them off. I'll have another go at it in the future and write another review for all the fellow TUSCL-ers!
