I decided to give Pure Platinum...

I decided to give Pure Platinum a try on a random Tuesday night. I was in the mood for a beer and wanted to watch the game, so I figured what better way to do that than with some naked girls around. The location of this place is easy. It's in a pretty central spot of San Diego, and it's got a nice big parking lot. The exterior looks a bit worn and dated. The area itself isn't bad.

I got there around 9:00PM. Cover was $10. I paid my $10 and headed in. When you walk in, there is a full bar to the immediate left and the stage is on the right. There is a decent amount of seating in between the bar and stage. The dance booths are along the perimeter of the seating area. The stage itself is actually pretty big. They only have the 1, but it's split into two levels which is kind of cool. They'll generally have two girls on the stage at once, with one girl on each level. The girl in top just dances, and then she'll go topless when on the bottom. No nudity since this place has booze. 1 song on each level. Again, kind of cool, but also creates quick turnover which means lots of tipping.

So yeah, like I said, it was a Tuesday night around 9, so it was pretty dead. That's fine, that's pretty much what I expected. I sat at the bar for an hour or so watching the end of the game and having a beer. Beers were decently priced. I was getting pints of an IPA for $6. It was cool, but the one bummer was that the TVs were in the exact opposite direction of the stage, so I couldn't really enjoy the best of both worlds. I also still had to tip most dancers even though I wasn't watching. I'm pretty used to the tip stuff so it didn't bother me much. I'm sure if it were busier they would have let me be. When it got a bit later, some new girls were coming in for the late shift. One was buying her drink so I bought it for her. She was nice enough to hang out for a while and chat. Real cool girl, we had a good conversation and no hard sell for dances.
