The Sands had been undertaking a remodel for several months with numerous pauses, but I think that it has been worth it. The club really has needed an update since forever and now it feels and looks so much better. I think there are a few more things that they are going to do to finish it off, but they look to be set. The stage is about at least double the size of the previous stage (if you could call it that) and it has two functional poles that the dancers can use. The VIP Room is now the area that used to be the regular seating area. This change makes more sense for the overall layout of the facility. The only thing that I don't enjoy is that the general seating area is now very open and that there is no bench seating, the exception being a small bench located where a stage had been in the old VIP. They have also added a TV by where the pool table is, but they seem to have the display set too bright. Overall, however, I like the physical transformation of the Sands. I also think that once the word gets out to the dancer community, the "talent" will improve the eye candy factor.

As for the dancers, they are for the most part the same girls that I have seen there before. Maybe it was the night that I went, but everyone seemed kinda frustrated (with the exception of the lovely N****). Apparently the new layout is NOT conducive for dances in the general seating area since it is so open. If you are not a regular, most guys, according to one of the dancers, like to try a $20 LD before going to the VIP where they charge $40 per LD. Now hardly anyone gets the $20s, which do help the dancers out with the "bottom line," and the customers are much more selective. It was the first time that I was hit with so many 'sob stories' , ie., "it has been so slow," "I need help paying the rent," etc..., that I thought about leaving. I think that sometimes dancers forget that the customers go out to forget their own stresses in life. It doesn't matter if it's to a strip club or a regular bar, I don't need or want to be burden by someone else's problems.

N****, however, came over and we had a great time catching up. She has such a great personality.
