My first visit to the Play...
My first visit to the Play House was good enough to warrant a second. The third will follow as soon as my "entertainment budget" recovers, because I had an even better time.
The only downsides to this club remain its small size and the extremely smoky-smelling coat room. (I avoided the latter by leaving my coat in the car. The cover charge girl looked at me funny, as it was pretty cold out, but she didn't say anything.) The dancers were even better looking than last time, and this on a Monday night. My assessment: a couple of 6's, mostly 8's and 9's, and a 10 or two. The laps were full contact except the thong. And not a single dancer came up to me with the "hi, wanna dance?" line: every one of them sat and chatted for a while first. The Play House still impresses by its friendliness: everyone who works there gives the impression that they're glad you're there, regardless of who you are or how much you spend. I'm not completely naive; I know they're there to make money, but at least they have the grace to act differently. And this applies to everyone -- dancers, bartenders, waitresses, even the valet parking guys (though they were less effusive -- did I mention it was cold out?). In short, next time I visit a club, it will be Play House.
