HURRICANE CLUB HAS BEEN CLOSED SINCE THE BEGINNING OF JULY.

When I passed by there was a large green sign on the door for BYOB. Above it was the official notice that the city had closed it for safety reasons. The tag said they didnt have emergency exit lights. SO why didnt they just fix it??!! The place has always been run down but still OK.

Strange politics have been a part of the place since the owner became ill. His "girlfriend" did most of the management and its questionable if she was doing it right. I was told that the BYOB was there because the state caught up with the permit that was in the now deceased owners name, and its NOT transferrable. Supposedly the owners son/daughter are wrangling with what will happen to the place. My guess is it will never open again.
