An event near Sioux City last...

An event near Sioux City last weekend provided my wife and I the opportunity for a couple “date nights”. The two choices in Sioux City are Teasers and Maverick’s. Based on reviews on tuscl by CaptObtuse (which we found to be helpful), we’d planned to spend Friday night at Maverick’s, then go to Teasers on Saturday night, so we could do our own comparison. We’d been to Teasers a couple times, a couple years ago, but always enjoy going somewhere new.

When we got in the cab Friday night to head out, the cab driver was reluctant to take us to Maverick’s. His perspective was that the dancer’s sit around with their boyfriends when they’re not on stage. He also said that most of his pickups there are extremely drunk. He assured us that we’d have a better time at Teasers. We agreed it would be foolish to ignore his advice, so we headed to Teasers.

Teasers has a small town bar feel. We paid a $3 cover each to get in, and drinks are reasonably priced. The bar is located near the door as you enter. About 1/4th of the main room is the stage area. The place is well lit, and the music is not played too loud, like so many places. The restrooms, a pool table and the private dance area, are located in the back of the building. One great feature of Teasers is the waitress. She is attractive, attentive and always smiling.
