It was a Thursday night and before boredom could set in I decided to head out to Lil' Darlings, a club I've never been to before. I'm wary about going into DT Seattle, since parking is not always readily available, but it wasn't too bad to find that evening. Upon entering the building, I almost went straight into the adult book/novelty store that is located in the same structure. Fortunately, I saw the entry to the club just off to the left immediately after passing through the main doors and walked down the stairway. No other club in Seattle has this weird setup, but the building is what the building is. Paid the cover and then I had to cautiously go down another ramp to enter the main room. The caution was mainly that my eyes had not acclimated to the darkness of the club. The layout is really funky, as I usually want a vantage point where I can see most of the club. This wasn't really possibly, IMHO, unless you sat further away from the stage. I sit near the one stage they had, and the crowd was a little light considering the fact that a "bachelor" party was in the house. Dancers were varied in body type and ethnicity, and they were fairly aggressive about coming up to you. I found one tall blonde who was a fantastic dancer who I had seen at other clubs in the area and did end up getting a couple of less than inspiring air dances. I ended the night with a brunette that was pretty new to this club and she was a lot of fun. Overall, Lil' Darlings was an interesting experience but it'll be a while before I visit again. There are more "comfortable" options in the area.
