8/26/2005 - First trip to Sapphires....

8/26/2005 - First trip to Sapphires. It gets a 10, but is rock star $$$$$. Friday nite, we were coming back from the Red Rooster, where we had a less than great time. We had our fill of Cheetahs (see other reviews) and were looking for something new. When we got there, it was crowded with cars waiting for valets and cab drops. There seem to be more than a fair share of women customers, which is very unusual to me. Went with the GF and were both charged $30 cover at 2am. Unbelievable, but people were paying, and the place was full. When we were finally let in (it was busy), we made our way back to the restrooms and ATM.

*** Word of advice: Bring lots of cash. The ATM charges $5/100 (limit $100 per pull) and credit will cost you $10/100. ***

The club is as nice and fancy as any I have ever seen, even nicer than Scores in Chicago. Nice style stages, like theater in the round, but some of the tables and booths are pretty darned far away for comfortable stage viewiing (reminds me a bit of Deja Vu in Minneapolis with the ceiling height). There is lots of vegas glitter on the far wall with the name in lights, very cool.
