I have been to Lil Darlings...

I have been to Lil Darlings many times in the past, but I feel compelled to write a review based on my most recent experience. As a background on the club, it's usually filled with relatively attractive girls who aren't very pushy on the floor. The dances in the back vary greatly in price and quality, but they certainly skew more towards the dirty but expensive side of things. All dances have to occur in the back of the club because the club takes a large cut of every dance to account for the fact that they can't gouge you on alcohol like topless clubs. Many of the girls have a tiered fee structure for lap dances they'll try and push on you - $20 for air dance, $40 for full contact 2-way, etc. It can get expensive pretty quickly, but it also ends up being pretty great dances on their beds and couches in the back.

Anyway, on this particular visit my buddy and I had won a bunch of money at craps and wanted to sober up. So we figured hit up Lil Darlings since it has no alcohol. I was drunk but not obliterated. I went in the back with one girl who tried to upsell me like crazy so I left. On my way out, I ran into "Sunny" who promised the best dances ever for the standard $100/3 songs. I was still up a bunch and ready to go home, but I fell for it.

In the back room, she extorted an additional $20 out of me. Oh well. I put my wallet and keys on the table next to the bed (as instructed) and for some reason she decided to move my wallet to be right next to the bed. I thought it was odd at the time. During the dance she kept holding me down and blocking my vision. After my dance was over, we were walking out and she said she forgot something in our room and had to run back. I was walking out of the club with my buddy when I checked my wallet to find $2 instead of $602 I had counted while in her room. She had fingered through my wallet and dumped my cash on the ground while she danced for me. I reported it to the club managers and, to their credit, they investigated her and went through her possessions. They never found my money, but admitted that she had about 20 minutes in the bathroom without their access to conceal it. The back room guy told me that she had been accused before and he thought it was strange that she ran back into our room after the dance. They gave me some comped package and apologized, but there was nothing more they could really do.

So anyway, it is a fun club and has some very hot girls, but the general theme is con-heavy. This was the worst I have ever seen (ya know - overt theft), but I certainly have had girls there try and rip me off in many other ways before, too (claiming we were in our second set after 2 songs, or telling me I committed to half an hour whether I liked it or not, etc.). So my recommendation is just be aware of this and be on your guard. You can have fun and the management is good, but you need to be very careful on the shake down. Great rewards with the right girl, but a lot of sharks out there.
