As of last week, the club has officially gotten its liquor license, meaning the full-nude BYOB era for Platinum West is over. This may very well turn out to be a poor decision by management given that the nude dancing was the major draw despite location, though this remains to be seen as there was a fairly decent crowd on this particular evening. With the added income from liquor sales, nighttime admission has now dropped from $20 to $8. The shelf behind the bar by the front door was fully stocked and the bartenders remained busy for most of the evening. Another, much smaller bar is located in the back corner of the club next to the entrance of the couch room while the traditional beer tub has been set up just to the right of the front door.

The dancers themselves appeared to still be adjusting to the idea of not removing their thongs both onstage and during their private dances (one even noting that she had worked nude on Monday but arrived Tuesday to be shocked by the change of format). Many appear to have resorted to either wearing them half-off or have added a bit of flashing to their routines to please the long-term customers missing the nude days. As expected, the move to topless-only dancing has brought in a number of familiar faces from Platinum Plus -- no doubt happy to have a topless club in town more spacious and posh compared to the crowded and moderately aging interior of PP.

Bought a few dances from one of my favorite regulars before calling it an early night. Having her keep her underwear on greatly changed the energy & dynamic of most of her movement. The change will be hard to adjust to, but given the overall atmosphere of the club I would still keep this as my club of preference in town.
