Here is a tip if you...
Here is a tip if you want to avoid the hefty cover and don't want to mess with the limo on a Friday or Saturday evening. We have been to Sapphire a couple of times in the past on a previous visit. We decided to go back, but we decided see the comedy show first. You won't find information about this on the main Sapphire web page; you have to search for Sapphire Comedy Hour. This is actually a great deal. For $20 admission, you get the show, 2 drinks, and after the show, you just walk into the main room without paying an additional cover. Two drinks in the main room is going to cost you more than $20.
The show is pretty good. It starts at 8:00, and there were three comedians, and on our night, a pretty good magician and a very impressive pole dancer (in a bikini). The headliner comedian was funny. It was nearly two hours long, and by the time it was over, the main room was starting to get some crowds and some energy. This is a great deal, and I hope they continue it. It is a little different to have a variety show in a strip club--especially without nudity, but it was pretty good. Unfortunately, there were probably only 30 people at the show on the night we went and many of them were locals . The room could probably hold 200 easy, so I don't know how long they are going to continue with it.
We called for a limo and tipped the driver $20. The limo doesn't waive the $20 charge for the comedy show and the two free drinks. I gave the driver a $20, and we still had to pay the $20 cover. We still came out ahead over a $33 cover each, but I realized it probably would have been cheaper and faster to just take a cab over and pay the $20. Either way, you still skip the $33 entry fee, and you get two drinks.
