Stopped in on a Thursday evening around 7:30. The web site boasted free cover before 8. I walk in the door and the cashier says "$12 cover". After I inquired about the free cover before 8, she said, "Oops, well you still need to buy a drink." Bought a coke at the alcohol-free bar and glanced to my left. I quickly discovered that I was the only customer at this early hour. No Problem. I sit down at the stage and Vanessa is dancing. She whispers suggestions in my ear from stage. A bit pushy for my taste. I check out the other talent in the mirrors and spot two bogies out of the group of 5. #1 A petite Russian-looking blonde chick over near the cashier and a brunette sitting by the back wall. The dancers work their way through the cycle. The blonde "Russian" come up and is sit forward in my seat. Not! She never even made eye contact (with the only customer in the place" and strutted around the stage in triple-time. Finally the brunette took the stage. She actually explain the the blond "was new and nervous". Fine. The brunette seemed to know what he was doing and, in fact said she has been "working the VIP" for 10 months now and is "pretty good". OK. I buy the 2 dances for $40 with the brunette. (Sorry, the name escapes me.) First thing, at the cashier $40 becomes $42.50 or something "because of the tax". OK, fine. Move move back the the LD area and right away I hear "I must be tipped up front". Huh, OK. Then "I get nothing from what you already paid." I ask, innocently, "How much should I tip and what do I get." She responds "I usually ask for the same amount as the dance, but please tip as much as you can." I say "OK, let start with $20 and see how it goes." The dance was OK, but as it started to get interesting, she tried to upwell me the VIP for something like $154.50, ("tax, you know") plus $150 to $300 tip. (These number might not be exactly correct, because I was in semi-shock. Anyway, when I said that that seemed expensive, she asked "Well, how much do you want to spend?" At that point, I figured I'd cut my losses and split. If money were no object, fine you can have a good time, but for reasonable prices, I wouldn't go back.
