I worked here for about a week. I will not be returning here to work. I'll start with the pros first.
The manager hired me on the spot. No audition. I began after walking in. I had to fill out a dancer app (wtf??) and then the house mom laid down the rules for me about the club. I like that she did that. The DJ was very formidable. The bathrooms are nice and there's no bathroom lady. I don't smoke, but there is a smoking room inside to keep the main room smoke free. Tip out is low ($52). There are open vip booths and curtained ones. Dancers are allowed by management to set prices for $25 or $30 per song for curtained rooms, while open booths are $20/song.
I have more cons and complaints about the club though. Is the Criket a stripper retirement home? There were a lot of older dancers working! The stage is stupid! It's small with two 50mm stainless steal static poles. Not ideal for pole tricks at all. Also, very short poles to work with. There are very little area for tipping. This is definitely a club that relies more on VIP dances than stage tipping. The VIP area reminded me of a circus with the blue and red decor. It smelled awful. I wanted to puke from the smell. Extras do happen here and many of the customers don't discuss it until in VIP. The DJ charges $5 per song request, which is really, really gay. The parking lot is sketchy at night. There is only one free house drink. The rest are full price - no dancer discount on drinks is really lame. The managers bug us to talk to customers. Also annoying since I work for myself.
