I had an opportunity to be...
I had an opportunity to be down in WV late on Friday night and decided to check out this club that use to be really good. I am sad to say that It does not have the same feel as it once you to even before they opened up the upstairs part.
Walked down the stairs that have not changed in about 8 years. Hand written sign on the door stated that there was a $10 cover charge and $15 after midnight. Guess that is when the place starts to get going. Got a softdrink (remember BYOB) at the bar and sat down at one of the few tables in a very sparse area. The stage area is about the same as back in the day. There were three guys at the stage seeming to enjoy the dancer. Shortly a fourth guy sat down seems he was in the head.
Even with four guys at the stage things did not seem that lively. They had there buckte of ice with a few beers in it so believe they got the bucket in the club. When the second dancer I saw got on stage three of the four guys kind of ignored her. After a little time I could see why. Her dancing was about a good as sloth crossing the road.
A couple of more dancers came in and made there way over to the DJ who was behind me, I guess to check in and get on the schedule. They did not really impress me that much in street cloths. They were in the typical 3 song rotation with the second dancer still on stage she did not really take her dress off as much as just shift it. First the top came down, then the top when up and the bottom went up, the finally the dress was around her waist and that is how it ended. So it took her all of about 4 seconds to get off the stage and ready to mingle.
There was a dancer that came over and sat down at my little table. 'Can I sit' and 'are you ready for a private room' was spoken in about 32 seconds. Looking around the place I wondered what the rush was. Still I think the guy to girl ratio was not over 1.5 to 1.
