The first thing you'll notice is...
The first thing you'll notice is the layout of the Paramount. Unlike the majority of clubs in the Greater Vancouver Area, the Paramount operates in a heritage movie theatre. It's stadium style seating with a lower level (general seating up front, couch dances at the back) and an upper level (premium dances). There is a bar in the middle of the lower level which serves only non-alcoholic beverages. The main stage is at the foot of the incline and a second smaller stage exists between the bar and main stage. There is no designated smoking area. Cover charge is CAD$10 and couch dances are CAD$25/ea. You also have the option of getting dances upstairs at CAD$100/5 dances or the platinum dance which is CAD$200/30 mins (which is basically the same as two 5-for-$100 except that it's in a more private area). Club atmosphere is generally laid back probably due to the absence of alcohol. Drinks are CAD$5.50/ea as are drinks for the girls. While the girls generally do not hustle for drinks, the wait staff will approach you within a minute of the girl sitting down without fail. In regards to food, the Paramount does not have it's own kitchen though they do offer Japanese food delivery from a restaurant down the street. Dances are lap dances but only one way contact is allowed under the rules. All dancers are house dancers though turnover can be high at times.
