It was a Friday afternoon and I thought that Follies would be a little too crazy-busy for my taste, so I decided to try Mardi Gras instead. I had a good experience here a year ago and I was hoping for a repeat performance.

It was about 12:30pm when I arrived, but there were already six or seven dancers sitting at the bar. It didn't take me long to make eye contact with an attractive blonde and she came over to sit with me. I made small talk for a while to be polite and then suggested we try a VIP session. The rooms are free before 2:00pm on Mon-Fri and it is $100 for 30 minutes.

There is a weird system here where you have to wait to be escorted to the VIP rooms upstairs by a particular waitress. Once outside the curtained-off room, the waitress offers to get you and your dancer any drinks (I declined). She also hovers around waiting for a tip. Once this awkwardness was out of the way, the dancer and I entered the room and got down to business.
