Well, I gave this place a first look since it stopped being The Gold Club a couple of months back. I had been expecting that the new owners or operators or whatever would jack the prices and charges up. But that wasn't what happened. It could have been a lot worst.

The good news comes first. The quality of the dancers had gone up, and not by just a little. The hefty heifers with big boobies, bigger butts, and big waists to more than match were gone. The guys by the stage weren't clearing out every fifteen or twenty minutes because a heifer was on the stage. The prissy dancers who wouldn't really undress until their last song - and there were just a couple of them - are gone too. And the mix of girls is better too. At the Gold Club most of the dancers fell into just a few types. They are much more varied these days. There was even a cute little blond girl, and I don't think I'd seen one of those at The Gold Club for a few months, maybe even since last year.

But there's some not-so-good news from my visit, too. I didn't see any of the older dancers who I remembered and had liked. They may have had a bit more mileage on them, but they really did try harder, sometimes quite a bit harder. I don't know if I'd just come on the wrong day or if the style of the new management has changed things, but most of the dancers, even the ones who'd been there in the Gold Club days, did not seem to be working too hard. A couple of them weren't all that interested in even coming over to the guys putting up cash. Instead they played drop the top and mostly swung around their pole. Even the babes selling dances when off the stage weren't pushing all that hard. That's not so much of a bad thing, but that meant the girls on the stage didn't have any real pressure to compete or "pump up the volume".
