I stopped at Silk in Juneau...

I stopped at Silk in Juneau recently after about a two month break from what had been my favorite club. Unfortunately I can't report that things are very good here. The evening I arrived there were only three dancers on shift for the four or five guys there. None of my previous favorites were dancing, although one was now working the door.

While the club is still nice inside, it just had a kind of bummer feeling to it. They've eliminated most of the specials like the two for one happy hour dances that used to run every night from open to 10 and every Sunday-Thursday all night even though they are still regularly advertising that on the specials page of the website and their Facebook. One of the girls who was there that I remembered from before, a friendly blonde, said it was because the owner got frustrated that there were not as many customers as he'd like so he cancelled the specials. I might understand that if it was about giving away a product he had to pay for like booze or food, but even the girl said they don't mind doing two for one dances. They are there already, they sold more that way and it costs them nothing. Basically it set them apart in the area and they made some money during the week. Now no one comes in for the 20 buck dances and they make nothing. I bought one from her, wished it was two and decided that I too will go someplace else again for a while.
