Since my last October review there...

Since my last October review there has been some improvements in the facility (improved lighting, fixed torn cushions, etc) and more importantly added several new girls (mostly younger ones). With the Fall seasons influx of University students in the Gainesville area perhaps more will be added. I applaud Cherry and the Management for recognizing the importance of having the right mix of talent. The club was getting pretty stale and dreary. There is no improvement in the pitiable physical layout (previously described) of the club or in the food. Not much to say about food other than it is edible and that no one has died from eating there (as far as I know). There has to be more menu items and separate lunch and dinner menu. Many times one item or other is unavailable. I visit the club when traveling along I75 usually for lunch or dinner and some entertainment. Cafe Risqué is just adjacent to I75 (on the left when driving to South). This review is a summary of multiple visits. There is an entrance fee of $5 (locals) or $8 (visitors) and minimum 1 drink ($4, non alcoholic). Most Florida clubs do not charge entrance fees during day shift. Perhaps Cafe should follow suit to encourage more daytime visitors.<br>

Girls perform nude dancing on stage for 10, 15 or 20 min. You can sit on stools near the stage and contribute to the dancer in $1 bills (or higher). $1 a minute or $5 for a 5 min song is reasonable for the customer and dancer. If you appreciate the dancer contribute more and if you don't appreciate dance contribute for what you enjoyed and leave the stage area. It is not fair to the girls for you to sit next to the stage and not contribute. You can always enjoy the dance free away from stage area. Girls work for money and it is a hard life, especially in the lean summer months. During visits number of dancers varied from 4-10 and customer base varied from 2-12. It is not a large club by any measures. More quality dancers will bring more customers and more customer base can support more dancers. It is the chicken and egg thing. Some of the female managers give private dances on request and so are most of the waitresses (night shift has two of them). I prefer the waitress to do the waitressing so that you don't have long waits for food or drink. The club charges for private dances are $30 for 1st, $50 for 2, $80 for 3 (weird rate) and $100 for 4 dances. It is unclear if there are further discounts for multiple dances from individual dancers as can be had in many clubs. I thinks that because it only has topless VIP and no touching policy the prices should be a flat $15 or $20 for 5 min song. There is absolutely no justification for $30 for 5 min. The current rate are excessive for the type of entertainment available and based on rates at other Florida clubs. Alex, Star and Jamie give good lap dances within the limitations of no touching rule of the club. There are cameras everywhere, including the private dance area. It is unclear the need for them. It is an oxymoron idea to have private dance area with cameras. There goes the privacy. Perhaps the management is paranoid.<br>

Dry begging where the girls mention about their financial problems occurs in all the clubs. Some girls are good at it. Sometimes it is a legitimate hardship. In general, stay focused on your mission of getting cost-effective quality entertainment. One of the negatives of Cafe is that the dancers when not working on stage or VIP tend to gather around other dancers and sometimes the waitress and manager over long periods. They are not circulating among customers and preventing waitress from serving. This should be strongly discouraged by management. Girls are there to work and should concrete on customers. As to recommendation, its only appeal is that it is the only nude club in the area and it is also not a bad place to kill some time if you are in the area.<br>
