Stopped by on a Friday afternoon...

Stopped by on a Friday afternoon for their happy hour special - i.e. Cheap Beer. Sitting down and drinking a cold one while watching young hotties dance is always a nice way to wind down the week. So - no cover - that's nice. However - the bouncer insisted on seeing my ID - fine - he wanted to make sure I was old enough to drink (like for the past 30 years). But instead of letting me just show him my ID - he insisted I pull it out of my wallet - okay - so maybe he wants to make sure it's not a fake. There must be lots of 50+ yr old men trying to sneak into clubs? But - no - he wants to 'scan' the license - and proceeds to show me how he then 'stores' all of the information from it so he can keep track of how often you come in. Now - I'm all in favor of clubs offering VIP and Frequent Lap Dance Getter cards - but those are always an opt-in type situation. In this case, they are absolutely doing away with the anonymity of going into a club. Since they can pull your address from the license I wonder if maybe they'll be sending advertising brochures to your house where your children or wife can see where Dear Ole Dad is spending his afternoons?<br>

To make matters worse - after I got into the club - no dancers were on stage. Just some really heavy and unattractive ones sitting at the bar. So - I don't recommend going to this place for the happy hour beer specials - there's plenty of cheap beer in this town. Maybe later in the evenings/night there might be some better quality dancers but that's a risk you'll have to take. And of course - they'll still have your address so they can send letters to the missus....
