I had some time to kill...
I had some time to kill on Tuesday night and I wanted to try something new, so I drove all the way from Charlotte to Salisbury to find that 2nd Breath (formerly Terri's Social Club) was either closed or busted (there were some cars in the parking lot so maybe the "open" sign just wasn't working) Anyway, I stopped at Baby Dolls on the way home which was also a first for me. I've been to most of the MAL clubs in Charlotte/Gastonia and a number of other clubs as well. Another reviewer has described the layout, the only differences I noticed were that the cover was $8, the table dances $5 (probably Tuesdays only), and the VIP $25. Some decent looking girls, and lots of them .. they easily outnumbered the customers 3 to 1. What bothered me was that every single one of them looked bored as hell ... they had some talent on the main stage, lots of hanging and twirling from the rafters and poles, but nothing I found sexy, just a lot of gymnastics, and no eye contact with the customers at all ... every dancer would watch themselves intently in the mirrors and that was it. ... I got two lap dances ... not complete air dances but very safe, dull, strictly by the rules dances .. the VIP was no different ... safe and dull ... at one point during the VIP dance my hands accidentally rested against her thighs just above the knees (no, really, it was an accident ;-) ... by the time it happened I knew the score and knew that contact on my part would be unwelcome) ... my hands were gently but firmly pushed back down to the couch. If you do happen to go to Baby Dolls give a dancer working the floor one or two dollars to tip the girl dancing on main stage, it's fairly hot to watch and it's quite clear these girls will go further with each other than with customers ... but frankly you're better off just going to Leather & Lace in Gastonia.
