This is one place I never want to step foot in again. People kept recommending that I go to the Red Room, however it's one of the worst clubs on the block. The bouncer was friendly enough. He was eating a platter as he ushered me inside. There was a series of steps leading down into a cramped room. Obviously, the place was drenched in red light. The smoke fumes were overpowering and the club smelled of vice and cheap cigarettes. That's all superficial. The real attraction is the dancers, right? Well, they are a sight to cause sore eyes. There were at least twenty of them, all sitting at the bar looking bored and depressed.The bartender was on his phone. As I walked in, it was evident that I was the only customer. This was a Saturday evening. The place should have been a little more lively but it was deader than a doorknob. All of the dancers quickly turned their gaze towards me. They yelled and screamed for me to have a seat but the track marks and lack of teeth made me decide otherwise. I spoke with one of the dancers briefly and she told me that she needed to get $200 for percocet. She had beautiful black hair, dark brown eyes, tattoos across her back and arms...and maybe ten teeth. I left after that encounter. Be warned. This club is sleazy on the highest level. Take your business anywhere else but the Red Room.
