I was in San Diego on a trip and decided to drop by Les Girls. I had been here before about 25 years ago, and to my memory it hasn't really changed. The signage of the club and its general vibe makes me think it probably started 50+ years ago as a nudie bar for sailors (that part of San Diego used to be all Navy, still a heavy Navy presence but not as much as years gone by). Neighborhood is safe enough, crowded with different commercial places and shopping centers.<br>

The club itself is unusual. It's almost like you're in a small theater, with the dancer on stage. You can tip her while she's dancing, and are encouraged to do so by the DJ. Admission is $5 if you've been there before. Private dances looked like they were $20, but different deals offered from time to time (I didn't get one).<br>

The girls were for the most part cute. Not much of the normal interaction between dancers and drinkers because of the theater setup. <br>
