I stopped by Sam's on a Saturday evening and it was already packed by 10PM. If you've never been here before it's a restaurant/strip club in downtown LA. Most of the clientele (and dancers) are a mix of Black/Hispanic sprinkled with some others in as well. Being that it was pretty busy it was pretty much impossible to find a table (or a seat) so I was forced to stand/wander around. While this was less than ideal it didn't bother me too much and eventually I found a seat. As others have documented the club works as follows: Most of the girls working are on the stage dancing. There are always a handful of girls who are wandering around and giving dances but the majority of the girls are on the stage at any given time. The girls wandering around will come up and ask you for dances ($10 per song, $20 for table dances) and there is a section for those in the back who want to get dances. There is no privacy at all when you are getting these dances so if that bothers you just an FYI. Finally, if you're sitting at the stage you're pretty much expected to tip, so if you want to sit there you'll need to tip in order to stay. There were some folks who weren't tipping and the DJ kept coming around telling them to tip or leave. I ended up getting a few dances from a variety of the girls (don't remember names) but there was a taller white girl there who gave some great dances and was fun to chat with. If you're comfortable with being an a rather lively strip club that doesn't have a ton of privacy Sam's is a good place to check out.
