I made a visit to the Landing Strip on a Wednesday night around 10pm. The club is located on the main street of Romulus, Goddard Road. It was hard to miss because the rest of the street was a ghost town by this point in the evening and the club had a lot of neon glowing. To park in their parking lot, you have to do valet. I hate letting strangers drive my rig, so I self-parked on Goddard Road and walked in. You walk up a staircase to the club, which is on the second floor. You pay a $10 cover to a girl at a desk then entered the club. Sitting at the bar or a table is free while getting a booth costs $20. The stage was a long runway in the center of the room. There were two poles on the main runway and a third and fourth pole on two satellite stages coming off the sides of the runway. Two dancers would be on stage at a time. They’d dance for two songs at one end, then an additional two songs at the opposite end. The club was very crowded for a Wednesday night. I had trouble finding an open bar stool. As far as the clientele at this club, most were groups of gangster-wannabe Arabs and Mexicans with an odd business traveler here and there. A Budweiser set me back $7.75. The bar seemed to be stocked with a wide selection of beers including imports and microbrews.<br>

I counted twenty-two dancers when they had an all-skate on stage. The dancers were mainly black and white with an odd Latina or two thrown into the mix. In looks, they ranged anywhere from a 2 to a 10. A few of the dancers were older or carrying baby damage, but there were definitely a couple that could’ve been models. The waitresses tended to be very hot too. I had my eyes set on a redhead dancer with glasses, but she spent the whole time she wasn’t on stage with a guy in a booth. I hope he was paying her for her time. Eventually, I made eye contact with a sexy German/black dancer with a nice slim body and B-cups, named Angie. We chatted for a while and learned we had a lot in common. I bought her a drink that set me back $10, probably one of the cheaper dancer drinks. I agreed to go to the VIP area downstairs with her. The VIP area is accessed by a different stairway than the one you enter the club with. I don’t think this club is handicap accessible. Downstairs are fairly roomy cubicles containing couches, and the entrances to the cubicles are covered by curtains. A bouncer is posted down there. I didn’t tip him, and he didn’t infringe on my privacy, so I am guessing he might be down there to count dances rather than invade privacy. The dances were $25 each and good two-way contact. I ended up getting five dances before it was time for Angie to go back upstairs for her stage turn.<br>

I’d probably make a return visit to the Landing Strip if I was close to the Detroit Airport. The alcohol is way overpriced, but otherwise, the club has a good party atmosphere and at least a few sexy dancers working.
