After 8-10 months of avoiding CC, I decided to give it a try on Tuesday night. Boy was I surprised when I walked in the door. The place has been totally redone (still in the remodel process). Forgive me if this remodel has been mentioned already, I can’t read the full reviews right now.
CCs is a big square box with tall ceilings. Full size race car replicas are still mounted upside down on the ceiling. There is now an elevated seating area in the middle of the room. On the East and West side of the room, there are 3 piece dancing stages (if you looked at them from the top, it would look like an ant, 3 small round stages connected to each other). The middle one was slightly bigger and taller, and had a pole. Only the West stage had a pole, the East does not, but according to a dancer, it will be getting one. On the Northern corners, there are elevated areas with couches. These are the new couch dancing areas. They are COMPLETELY open to EVERYONE. Not my cup of tea. If you recall, the old couch dancing section was a long secluded hall way type room. I didn’t see the VIP area, but I was told it is still under construction. The South side of the room had a bar with about 5-6 flat screens on the wall. There were older, smaller, tube TVs hanging from the ceiling around the rest of CC. Picture quality on both the new and old TVs wasn’t very good. The rest of the floor space consisted of small round tables with about 3 chairs each, similar to the set up at Dancers. If you aren’t in the elevated seating section in the middle, it is hard to see both stages at once. The paneling on all the new elevated areas are diamond plated aluminum with blue LED accent lighting. It looks really sharp and modern. The support columns in the middle look modern as well. I’m not sure how to describe them. There are a few black lights in the place, but not enough to make you glow. Indents in the ceiling with neon (or at least looks like neon) lighting still exist. I think the carpet is the same though. It looks old anyway. I didn’t check out the bathrooms, not sure if they are new/clean or not.
So, enough about the changes to the building.
